Hi, I’m Christina Baltazar, founder of The Birth & Art Collective — a new nonprofit based in California’s Central Valley dedicated to empowering mothers, enriching families, and celebrating life through faith-based education, creative expression, and community connection.

After more than a decade as a maternity and newborn photographer, I’ve witnessed firsthand how many mothers long for support that truly honors the sacredness of pregnancy, birth, and motherhood — not just in the medical sense, but emotionally, spiritually, and artistically.

That vision became The Birth & Art Collective.

Our Mission

We’re creating a community where every mother and child is empowered, nurtured, and celebrated with life-affirming care from pregnancy through parenthood.

Through the Collective, we’ll offer:

✨ Life-affirming education for mothers and families

✨ Creative programs and art exhibits that honor motherhood

✨ Community partnerships connecting families to trusted local doulas, midwives, and support services

✨ The annual Central Valley Belly to Baby Expo, now the Collective’s flagship event — bringing resources, joy, and encouragement to families across our region.

Why We’re Fundraising

We’re launching our very first fundraiser; a holiday merch campaign; to help raise startup funds for:

Nonprofit operational costs (insurance, materials, marketing)

Educational programming and workshops for new and expecting mothers

Outreach to life-affirming healthcare and community partners

Development of our 2026 Art of Motherhood Initiative and local support events

Every dollar raised helps us bring faith, art, and community together to uplift the beauty of motherhood and create a culture that celebrates life.
