Celebrate AAPI Heritage at Cary Academy

The AAPI Parent Group at Cary Academy, or AAPI Parents, is an affiliated school-parent organization established in August of 2024. The group represents nearly 200 Asian American and Pacific Islander families, one of the largest ethnic groups at CA (Cary Academy).
The mission of AAPI Parent Group is to build connections between AAPI families, cherish our diverse culture heritage, share our parenting experiences, and foster meaningful engagement within the broader CA community.
AAPI Parent Group is established by a group of volunteers. They believe that by promoting true diversity and endorsing new ways of educating/parenting, we can support the long-term success of CA and the holistic development of our children!
We are running this fundraiser to raise an operating fund to support the planned activities throughout 2024-25 academic year:
- Welcome sessions for new families and students in August 2024 and August 2025 - budget $350~500/each;
- Lunar New Year celebration in January or February 2025 - budget $500~750;
- 2~4 Parent social, workshops, and/or service activities at $200~300 each;
- Senior celebration and/or alum experience sharing in late spring or early summer 2025, budget $500~750;
- GoFundMe platform fees ~$200;
- Reserve and carry-over to next school year $1500~2000.
