Celebrate 30 Years of Parade Magic

30 Years of the Hyde Park 4th of July Parade - *Secret* Surprise Gifts for the McCoys!

For the past 30 years, our amazing mom, Kathy McCoy, has poured her heart into organizing the Hyde Park 4th of July Parade — cultivating a beloved annual celebration full of joy, music, decoration of vehicles, and community spirit.

And right beside her every year has been our dad, Doug, supporting the vision, hauling supplies, setting up, grabbing morning donuts, and cheering her on as the neighborhood came alive. Together, they’ve built something truly special — and now it’s time for us to give a little of that magic back to them.

This year marks the 30th anniversary of the parade — and we (their kids) want to surprise them with a heartfelt gift to honor their decades of love, effort, and dedication to our neighborhood.

Gift 2: SURPRISE Gift for Kathy & Doug — The Dream Golf Cart!

Our mom has dreamed for years of having a golf cart to drive around the neighborhood — especially with her grandkids (now 6 mo, 2 yrs, & 5 yrs old). It’s been a quiet bucket list item of hers, and we want to finally make that dream come true.

And we know our dad will enjoy it just as much — probably as a sunset habit exploring the neighborhood and of course giving the grandkids rides with Kathy (aka "Mimi").

We're inviting you in to support our goal of raising $7,500 to gift them a safe, reliable golf cart with a rear-facing seat, sustainable battery, and some fun details that make it truly theirs.

Our hope is to present it to them this summer — as a joyful “thank you” from the community they’ve poured so much love into.
