Hi, my name is Cecile Mount! I am in Scouting America Troop 19 from Silver Spring, Maryland. I have been in Scouting for four years and am currently working on earning my Eagle Rank. My project is to build child-sized Adirondack chairs for Brookside Nature Center. It is located in Wheaton, Maryland, and works to educate people about local nature. They have beautiful gardens and host programs and many more events to get people excited about learning about the outdoors! I used to go there all the time when I was little and we have many pictures of me and my siblings walking around the children's play area which has been more developed and filled with many cool outdoor-themed toys. These chairs will be placed around the nature center giving kids places to sit while admiring nature. This fundraiser will be used to purchase 10 of the chairs (see picture above) and any tools necessary to build them. Thank you for supporting my project!!
