Hi everyone! We are a group of dental students embarking on a volunteering trip in the Philippines, from the 4th to the 16th of January 2017. In collaboration with Rise Above Foundation Cebu, we are going out to Mandaue and other slum areas around Cebu city to provide FREE dental care for those who cannot afford or access proper dental care.

However, we cannot do this without your help. 

Dental care, as we all know, can be expensive and inaccessible. This is even more so for the underprivileged in society. We estimate that we will see up to a total of 900 patients during this trip, which translates to a hefty amount of funding that will be required to make free treatment for our Filipino friends a reality.

Your generous donations will contribute to: 
Dental materials, medication, equipment (up to 8400 AUD) (a donation of $12 provides extensive treatment for the average patient)
Hiring of local dentists to supervise our work throughout the mission (up to 1600 AUD)

The funds raised will be used in addition to the amount that we are contributing ourselves towards accommodation, flight tickets, transport, administrative fees and so forth. 

We aim to have the full amount of $10,000 raised by the 4th of January, the day we will be flying off to the Philippines. This project will not be possible without your generous donations.
