Battambang Provincial Hospital

Hello! We are 11 physician assistant students from the Class of 2024 at Touro University Nevada. In March and April we will be traveling to Cambodia to complete a clinical rotation at Battambang Provincial Hospital. This opportunity will help us expand our clinical training and knowledge as future providers and become familiar with medical practices in Cambodia.

Our goal is to fundraise money for Battambang Hospital to help fund their necessities like medical equipment and supplies. Additionally, we will be contributing some of the funds to an organization called HeroRATS through APOPO. This unique organization trains rats to detect leftover landmines so that they can be removed safely. In 2022, HeroRATS discovered and removed over 600 landmines in Cambodia! Some rats have also been trained to detect missed cases of tuberculosis. Please visit apopo.org if you would like to learn more.
