CDYLC 2022 - BC Campers

Hello! We, 7 British Columbian Deaf youth campers, are attending DYC's (Deaf Youth Canada) CDYLC (Canadian Deaf Youth Leadership Camp) in Pugwash, Nova Scotia, starting on July, 23rd to July, 30th, 2022. This is truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience for us to learn leadership, teamwork skills, and strengthen the Deaf youth community. With experience and skills from the camp, we will grow into competent Deaf leaders that can contribute our knowledge and leadership skills confidently to the Deaf community.

Unfortunately, flights and the registration fees are expensive. It will cost each camper around $1,500 altogether. We are actively asking for donations and support from local organizations, companies, and businesses. We do also need your help. A donation of any amount would be TREMENDOUSLY appreciated. It doesn’t matter if it’s $5, $10, $50, or $100, each dollar counts! It would help us a lot to reach our goal of $12,000. If you can’t donate, please share this link with your friends or family.

Any remaining funds will be donated to the local Deaf organizations to recognize and support their valuable, tremendous work in the Deaf community across B.C. and Canada.

We’d like to thank the Canadian Association of the Deaf / Association des Sourds du Canada and Deaf Youth Canada for their incredible support and for managing our fundraising money. The bonus is YOU can receive charity tax credits from your donation - win-win!

With many thanks,

The BC Campers attending CDYLC 2022!
