Hi, I'm Francisco from InYourShoes, a project that aims to support sports communities in developing countries and the school education of future athletes.

Since 2017, we have been organizing an annual collection of running shoes from around the world, labeling them with the owners’ names and taking them to Kenya, where they are given to those who dream and struggle to become champions.

This time InYourShoes aims to collect trekking shoes and technical clothing to be donated to the Sherpa community in Nepal to help them to face the season of the great Himalayan expeditions.

These large commercial expeditions use hundreds of porters who, for a few euros, carry 50 kg of material on their shoulders to set up base camps. They walk for weeks with sandals, flip-flops or old trainers on their feet in extreme weather conditions. For them, as for Kenyan runners, a pair of shoes and appropriate clothing can make the difference to a better life and future.

With this campaign, we aim to fund our project and expedition to support the Sherpa community of Nepal.

Ciao, sono Francisco di InYourShoes, un progetto che ha l’obiettivo di supportare le comunità di sportivi nei paesi in via di sviluppo e l’educazione scolastica dei futuri atleti.

Dal 2017 organizziamo una raccolta annuale di scarpe da corsa da tutto il mondo, etichettandole con i nomi dei proprietari e portandole in Kenya, dove vengono regalate a chi sogna e lotta per diventare campione.

Questa volta InYourShoes ha l’obiettivo di raccogliere scarpe da trekking e abbigliamento tecnico da donare alla comunità Sherpa in Nepal per aiutarli ad affrontare la stagione delle grandi spedizioni himalayane.

Queste grandi spedizioni commerciali si avvalgono di centinaia di portatori che, per pochi euro, si caricano sulle spalle 50 kg di materiale per allestire i campi base. Camminano per settimane con ai piedi sandali, infradito o vecchie scarpe da ginnastica, in condizioni climatiche estreme. Anche per loro, come per i runner kenioti, un paio di scarpe e un abbigliamento adeguato possono fare la differenza per una vita e un futuro migliore.

Con questa campagna, vorremmo finanziare il nostro progetto e la nostra spedizione a sostegno della comunità Sherpa del Nepal.
