Help Mom Rebuild After House Fire

Hello everyone,

I want to thank you for taking the time to read my mother’s story. I come to you with a heavy heart and a humble request on behalf of someone who has spent her entire life lifting others up: my mother.

Just one month after the heartbreaking loss of my father, our family is now faced with yet another unimaginable tragedy. My mother’s home, the place where she’s built her memories, her sanctuary, and her safe space—was destroyed in a house fire. She lost everything.

If you know my mom, you know she is not someone who ever asks for help. She is the helper. She is the one who opens her home every month to host family brunches, making sure we all stay connected, fed, and full of laughter. Her garden is a testament to her giving spirit—she grows vegetable starts not only for herself, but gives the extras to neighbors and families who need them. She gives without thinking twice.

She’s also an incredible baker. Her cakes are more than just desserts—they’re the centerpieces of celebrations, small and large. Whether it’s a birthday, a holiday, or just a random Wednesday, her kitchen was always warm with the smell of something delicious in the oven. But that kitchen—and all her baking supplies, including her beloved KitchenAid mixer—are now gone. For her, that mixer was like a best friend, always ready to help her create joy for others.

Even when she’s not baking or gardening, she’s working hard in construction and then coming home to spend quality time with her grandchildren, who adore her beyond words. She pours so much love into our family and our community.

Now, she needs us.
