A few days ago, I learned of a young man's story through a few people in my community.

A young father named Zack has been riding his bike and scooter roughly two miles every day to work at Wendy's. He does not have a car, phone, and moved to Indiana from Colorado and lives with his brother.

After speaking to members of the community, Zack has been trying to save to purchase a car but has not been able to yet. His child just started kindergarten, and from what his manager at Wendy's has communicated, he will have to move in a few weeks if he does not have reliable transportation.

Zack does not miss any work, starts his day at 5:30 am, takes care of his child, and is loved by many people who visit him.

Though I do not know him, I was compelled to help him after talking with several people who know his story. We want to help him. Here's our goal.

We are working with a local dealership to get him a car. The dealership, La Porte Chrysler Dodge Jeep RAM, is going to help at least with a portion of the car.

The funds would be spent directly on the following:

I felt compelled to step up like my dad did years ago. One winter, my dad found out a co-worker's son was stuck in a bad storm, homeless in his car. We battled through the storm to get to him. My dad fixed his car, gave him money, got him food, and made sure he had a place to stay.

I never forgot that moment. I saw how big my dad's heart was.

Let's work together to help Zack, so he can remain a part of the community and create a life for his child!
