Over the past year, Craig James has become one of my closest friends while working alongside him in the Air National Guard. I would describe him as of the highest character and a role model to many younger airmen. Last week, he received some devastating news that his wife, Ibelise James, had passed away on November 16, 2024, at the age of 32. She is survived by her children, Ellianna (11 years old), Daneil (8), Olivia (4), and Elyse James (3). Sergeant James is one of the most resilient people I've ever met, and I know he can overcome the challenges on his new path forward. Being the humble person he is, I knew he would stay reserved about the matter; however, his wingmen and family want to show him support along the way. I have sensed an overwhelming amount of support for the James family over the past week, and I knew it was time to reach out. His children mean everything to Craig, and those closest to him know that he shouldn't have to fight alone. The proceeds for this GoFundMe will be for Ellianna, Daneil, Olivia, and Elyse to see that their dad has the best support system in the world, his wingmen. This is our way of showing love and care for the continued support of Craig and Ibelise's children.
