Hey ya’ll. Asking for help has never been something I’m very good at but at this point I’m willing to acknowledge, I do need help. My previous partner has been incredibly demanding since my move of the money he believes I owe him. The primary dispute we are currently having is he believes that the rent I paid end of June applies to June not July. Regardless of legal advice and tenant law he’s threatening legal action because I will not sign a notarized repayment agreement. None of this was brought up amicably in the 6 weeks we lived together after separation. All of this has been demanded post move out. He's now threatening to take me to court which he knows full well he can afford but I cannot. His behavior through out much of our relationship was controlling and I do believe he will in fact take me to court on this. So I am currently asking for an amount that will both cover both the accused debt (rent and shared living expenses) plus legal fees I anticipate I am about to accrue.
