Send the North West’s Junior Surf Stars to Rio!

Irish Surfing is sending a Junior team of 12 to the World Surfing Championships in Brazil in November. The Championships will see the best surfers from around the world competing together. Four of those selected for the Irish team are from County Sligo and are members of Donegal Bay Board Riders: Tom Murphy and Lorcan Southcombe both U18, along with Oscar Choo and Darragh Gilmartin both U16.

These talented young surfers can be seen surfing all the local breaks around Bundoran and Sligo. They have dedicated countless hours, in all seasons, to improve their skills and become some of the best junior surfers in Ireland.

The trip to the Worlds is self-funded and the costs associated with international competition are significant. Flights, accommodation, transport and insurance all add up. This is where we need your help. Your donation will go directly to support Tom, Lorcan, Oscar and Darragh as they represent Ireland with pride and determination. Every contribution counts in getting the boys from the North West to Rio!
