
Crested Butte Reunion Fund 2017

This GoFundMe campaign has been created to raise money for the CB Forty Year Reunion 1977-2017. We started out raising $1500 for incidentals like paper plates, beer and soda, maybe some t-shirts and the cost of reserving the pavilion at Rainbow Park. Well it must be the timing but it seems like everyone who ever lived in Crested Butte plans on attending this reunion. It became more and more clear to me that our event had outgrown Rainbow Park which is located in the middle of a residential neighborhood.
We are now holding our reunion on the Town Ranch out behind the school next to the Tommy V. baseball field. There is no pavilion at this location and we're going to incur way more expenses than I had once thought. We are now renting 2,000 square feet of tent space, a stage, a dance floor, lighting and still have the other costs of paper plates, beer, t-shirts, etc.
I've raised the goal to $3500. As we get closer to the event I will have a better idea of how much we will need. But I am now in the process of applying for a special events permit with the Town of Crested Butte which will allow you to park your RVs in the school parking lot. It also means that I will have to purchase insurance. So you can see, the expenses will be adding up.
We've got two months to raise the money but if you planned on donating, it would help if you did it sooner than later. Any amount is most appreciated and with all the people planning on attending we should be able to raise the needed funds.
I plan on posting a budget for the expenses we know about. Hopefully we'll get that up soon.
