Hoof it to Roof it! Cawthorne Church Roof Fund

Dear Friends,

I am reaching out to you all to rally behind a cause close to my heart. The beloved Cawthorne church, a cornerstone of our community for generations, is in urgent need of a roof restoration.

Whether or not you are a church-goer, our village church has been a place of worship, support, aa well as hosting community events for decades. It has provided a safe haven and a welcoming environment for all. However, time has taken its toll on the roof, and without repair, the ability to continue serving the community is at risk (and who doesn’t love to look at a beautiful old English church).

To help raise the necessary funds, I have temporarily lost my mind and decided to race up a mountain….. and I need your support!

On Saturday, September 28th, I will be tackling the Marathon Trail Lago di Como mountain race in Menaggio, located on the western shore of Lake Como, Italy.

Those who know me will know I have done road half marathons before, but this is a whole new challenge which has pushed me out of my comfort zone and into the world of trail running and LOTS of hills! There has been blood, sweat and tears during the months of training.

Each foot of the 4,757ft of elevation I run will be made easier knowing it is getting us closer to our goal of restoring the roof and preserving our church for future generations.

100% of your generous donation will go directly to the Cawthorne church roof fund. Every contribution will help, no matter how small.
