Catch A Fire's Fundraising Target for Demelza 2024

In support of our charity of the year, Demelza, the Catch A Fire team will participate in a range of events across the year to reach our new and ambitious target of £5K! But we think it's worth it .

Along with our signature event, the Bewl Dragon Boat Festival at the end of August, the team will also participate in quizzes, sports challenges, community days and much more. We will keep you up to date on our progress.

Planned Events

✅ Tough Mudder Run - 6th April - Our Strategist, Chris Brown, will soon take on the mud-based endurance challenge for Demelza. Please support him in any way you can

✅ Pub Quiz Night - 15th May - The Chequers Lamberhurst will host a quiz night to help us reach our target. Teams of 6 with £5pp entry - 1st prize donated by The Chequers of £100 gift voucher.

✅Charity Golf Day - 14th June - The team at Catch A Fire will be hosting our first-ever charity golf event at The Darenth in Shoreham with over 30 players confirmed!

✅Dragon Boat Race - 31st August - Our annual team event for Catch A Fire sees all the agency participate in 3 races at Bewl Water, competing against 20+ teams.

Demelza is a London and Southeast-based children's hospice that provides extraordinary care to extraordinary children facing serious or life-limiting conditions. Helping to support children and their families from first diagnosis and for as long as they are needed.

Demelza believes in care that doesn’t back down.

The Charity carries the name of Demelza Phillips, daughter of Derek and Jennifer Phillips, who died of a brain tumour at the age of 24. In 1994 Derek and Jennifer set up a charity and since then, have attracted thousands of supporters and helped even more children and families.

Please help us support Demelza to continue their vital work, whether it's end-of-life care from their fully qualified nurses and short care breaks for families to medication management and creative arts and music therapy.
