Catch 21 Skidrow Events

Catch 21 Seafood Restaurant has been a source of kindness to the Skid Row community since it opened its doors. The owner, Kenny has not only been serving food to his customers, but has been kind for many years to offer up basic needs like food to those Skidrow residents who needed it. Kevin Call, was one of the former residents of Skid Row that was a recipient to Kenny's kindness.

Kevin Call, a former Skid Row resident, changed his life around after serving time and has now returned to Skid Row to be of service to others. Kevin, never forgot the kindness that was extended to him through Kenny at Catch 21 and after being released returned back to Skid Row to help change the lives of others. Together Kevin and Kenny through grass roots efforts in conjunction with other non-profit organizations and businesses, have teamed up to use the services and venue as a place for everyone to gather so they can feed and provide basic living needs to the residents.

Now more than ever there is a need to reach out to the Skid Row residents as the population continues to grow most especially after the pandemic. In the last year Catch 21 has either hosted or lent out the venue for others to share their kindness. Some of these events have included distributing food, water, basic living necessities for hygiene, clothing and even medical services. Some of these events have been hosted by some great organizations such as Join Humanity Heroes, Suitcase Joe Foundation and Mission ECHO.

The community outreach of Kevin has been immeasurable as he brings together organizations and community leaders for a single cause and that is to spread love and compassion to the Skid Row residents. The journey hasn't always been easy, but has definitely been fulfilling and worthwhile as he can see the difference it makes in the lives of others. Kevin Call has recently been recognized by the City of Los Angeles for his contributions to the community and have called him an angel in the City of Angels.

We would like to raise some funds so that it allows Kevin and Catch 21 the opportunity to continue to host these events on a monthly basis, no amount is too small as these donations will help to provide the extra necessities in order to carry out these events.
