The Los Angeles Fires have devastated our community, displacing over 10,000 families. Among those affected are families with neurodiverse young men, many of whom have lost their homes, stability, and even beloved pets.
Once they turn 18, they age out of California’s support system, leaving parents with limited resources to provide the care and stability their sons deserve.
My friend Brett Lietzke and his team at Los Angeles Friends are dedicated to bridging the gap between the neurodiverse and neurotypical communities through fitness, social skills development, health, and mentorship programs. They provide support, structure, and opportunities for these young men to thrive, despite the obstacles they face.
How You Can Make a Difference:
To give these parents a much-needed break from their hardships by providing an outbound adventure for these young men to further develop their social connections. We are organizing the Catalina Outbound Adventure on March 15th.
This trip requires careful planning and dedicated volunteers, but with your help, we’ll make it “No Problem!”

The total cost to sponsor a young man is $200. This amount will cover all transportation, meals, and activity costs for these incredible young men, ensuring they get to experience a day they will never forget!
