Cassandra And Teds Baby Fund

Cassandra and Ted are a couple who are both self employed. Cassandra is a director and Ted works as a DJ. Cassandra is Haida from Haida Gwaii and Ted is Greek raised in Vancouver. They are both off work as they brought a beautiful baby boy into this world May 2nd. Cassandra has been battling lupus for the last few years that has made it harder and harder for her to be mobile. Constant doctors visits trying to find the right medication for her disease has made it hard for her to work, and has made her pregnancy high risk. Ted has been there for her through her pregnancy. And with inflation and expensive costs of Vancouver it’s been difficult to be as prepared as they hoped for the baby.

During this last week Cassandra and Ted faced additional challenges as the baby was induced and she ultimately gave birth via C section. Due to her disease she will remain in the hospital for a longer than anticipated time. Incurring unexpected expenses for the baby and for them. As well as requiring addition support for their home and to get them set up.

Funds would be used for medications, Costco run of diapers/baby supplies, some takeout ( a break from the hospital food), hired assistance for her and baby and overall less stress to them for what ever else they might need.

As said above they will be in the hospital for longer than anticipated so they would both like to extend a welcome to visit and meet baby and Oak women’s hospital here in Vancouver.
