We’re raising money to cover the Sumer Camp costs of 50 kids at the Boys and Girls Club of Alexandria, VA.

My Passion

For the entirety of my adult life, I’ve made it a priority to mentor, support, and advocate for underserved Black youth. From being an after school mentor at the Sayre Beacon Community School in Philadelphia during my days at UPenn, to being a “Big” for the Big Brother Big Sisters program when I first moved to the DMV, to running a resume workshop at the Juvenile Detention Center right here in DC, my heart has always been in changing the lives of youth.

Why Summer Camp?

Some of my fondest memories growing up came during Summer Camp. At that age, I didn’t realize how fortunate I was to be able to go on trips to museums, aquariums, and amusement parks, try different sports for the first time, and make diverse friends through new experiences. As I celebrate my successes while turning 35, its extremely important for me to leverage the amazing network of people who have supported me on this journey, and collectively provide these young people with a foundation for their own future success stories

The Funds

100% of the money raised will go directly to the Boys and Girls Club and only be used to cover summer camp costs.

The Birthday Weekend of Service

Through my birthday weekend of service we will raise money to cover the summer camps fees for 50 students. Additionally, ill look to recruit 10 mentors to join me during the 2022-2023 academic mentoring year as I enter my 9th year of supporting College Bound Inc, a program dedicated to getting DC Public High School students into college.
