Hi I’m Carys and I am running the Edinburgh women’s 10k on 21st September 2025 in honour of my amazing dad, which is why I have decided to raise money for a charity very close to my heart.

My dad lost his life to colorectal cancer a form of bowel cancer when he was only 39. My brother and I lost our incredible dad but he was also a devoted husband, son, brother, uncle and friend who we all miss everyday.

I hope that raising some money will make a difference to family’s going through this horrible time and hopefully help save a life! My dad was my best friend and hero and hopefully doing this for him will make him proud. ❤️
