I am looking to support rural communities in Uganda surrounding the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, one of the 2 homes in Uganda of the mountain gorilla.

I will be supporting two community empowerment projects: the Bwindi Local Wood Carvers & Harbert Foundation. Both organisations are working tirelessly to empower crafters in the rural communities and their families.

Any donation is greatly received but we have suggested donations for the following:

Bwindi Local Wood Carvers

Gorilla carvings - £3.80/$5 (S), £11.15/$15 (M) & £22.30/$30 (L) - for local carvers to train rural youth

Nature conservation & English/Maths textbooks for community schools/village meets - £2/$2.60 per book

Hand tools - £25/$35 - wood carving kits

Stationary - £5/$6.72 - pencils, drawing tools & art materials

Harbert Foundation

Adopt a hen programme - kick start a family with their own flock - £7.45/$10 per hen

Adopt a goat programme - £55.80/$75 per goat

Child sponsorship - semester school fees - £37-48/$55-65 per semester (x3 p/y) to educate, feed & care for a child
