Carter High School's Teachers' Lounge Makeover

In collaboration with Community for Public Schools, I'm raising money to transform the teachers' lounge at Carter High School—with your help!

Carter High School is Winston-Salem's high school specifically dedicated to students with exceptional needs and abilities, which makes it a unicorn school. We all know public school teachers work so hard at their jobs, and the teachers at Carter have the added responsibility of meeting the complex needs of every single student, some of whom can't walk, talk or communicate in typical ways. When the teachers do have breaks in their days, they deserve to rest, eat, and sip coffee in a space that's calm, comfortable, and restorative. The current teachers' lounge has a broken fridge, coffee machine, stained carpet, uncomfortable seating, and zero personality.

We're gathering funds to transform this forgotten room into a restorative retreat for our local superheroes. ANY amount you can donate helps!
