Lauryn Amber Crawford and her fiance Cameron Cooper welcomed twin boys Carsyn Alexander and Greyson Drake into this world on 11/26/21. They were born 16 weeks early.
Greyson and Carsyn, after being born, were airlifted separately to another hospital where it was better equipped for neonates.
These tiny little men had a team around them helping them fight for their lives. Carsyn weighed 1 lb 6 oz and Greyson weighed 1 lb 3 oz.
In spite of great efforts by the Neonatal unit at Blair Batson, Greyson Drake, after only 16 hours of life, transitioned into the arms of Jesus where he is forever healed and playing with the angels in heaven.
As expressed by the maternal grandmother Aimee, “Lauryn, Cameron and tiny Carsyn have their own angel watching over them. I can't express how hard this has been on the parents of these little boys. To grieve for Greyson and not minimize that sorrow, yet remain strong and focus on Carsyn and his uphill battle”. While the paternal grandmother Tatia is fighting for her own life, she expressed to me, “It’s killing us that they are going thru such a trying time. I’m so proud of Cameron for how he has stood by Lauryn and staying strong for her and tiny Carsyn”.
This update was provided by Aimee on 11/27/21, “Carsyn has a grade 3 bleed on his brain. He is critical but stable. Vitals signs are good. Everything this family has will be focused on whatever it takes to get him home and healthy….For now, Mom and Dad are grateful for even the tiniest steps forward for Carsyn and would appreciate your continued prayers to help ease their sorrow for the tragic loss of Greyson”.
Please continue to pray for Carsyn Alexander and help this family in always remembering Grayson Drake.
As Tatia’s friend, I share this and ask that you dig deep within you and help these young parents with living expenses as they do have insurance for Carsyn. Being hours away from home, it gets costly. Anything you can give is appreciated. It is forever grateful.
