Carrying Shawn's Legacy: Supporting Cal & Avery Hudson

Shawn E. Hudson was a man whose love for his children, Cal and Avery, knew no bounds. A devoted father, he was their best friend, mentor, and biggest cheerleader. Whether it was cheering on the Chicago sports teams, spending hours outdoors, or enjoying a perfect sunset at the beach, Shawn's life was centered around creating cherished memories with his kids.

Tragically, Shawn passed away suddenly on August 23, 2024, leaving a void in the lives of those who loved him, especially his beloved Cal (20) and Avery (17). Shawn was more than just a father; he was the embodiment of positivity, warmth, and kindness, traits that touched everyone he met.

Now, with Shawn gone, we want to honor his memory by ensuring that Cal and Avery have the support they need as they navigate life without their dad. Whether it’s for education, daily living expenses, or simply to continue enjoying the experiences that Shawn would have wanted them to have, this fund will help carry forward the love and care he so deeply instilled in his children.

The family will receive friends at Kurtz Memorial Chapel, New Lenox IL on Wednesday, August 28, 2024 from 3pm – 8pm.
