Hi everyone, Becca here. I know Brad gave a recent devastating update on my health. I’m still processing a lot of things, but everything is moving quickly. Chemotherapy is no longer a favorable option for me, and my oncologists have shared that I likely have only a few weeks to live. However, realistically it may only be a few days. My world has flipped upside down. This news has crushed our core—our family, our hopes, our dreams. This disease is taking me away from my family, my life, my career, and my babies.

It was an extremely difficult decision, but I have begun transitioning into hospice care. I am still currently in the hospital but will be released on hospice. The shift from procedures and treatments meant to get better to a focus on comfort and love in these final weeks has been incredibly hard, but it has also brought a strange sort of relief.

We previously had a GoFundMe created to help with memory-making, time as a family, and support. Due to this recent news and the rapid changes in my care, this new GoFundMe has been created to help support Brad and the children, as well as cover end-of-life expenses.

Brad is deeply committed to providing the best possible future for our children. Knowing he will be doing this on his own brings so much worry—about the cost of raising them and about being able to provide for their futures. Brad is exploring all possibilities to support the kids, as we always imagined and hoped we would do together. We have discussed potentially leaving our home to move closer to family, or cutting back on work hours to allow more time physically with the kids. The funds raised will now be dedicated to securing the D’Alessio family’s future and providing stability for our children, in addition to covering medical and funeral costs.
