Carrigaline Welcome Project
Donation protected
In 2019 a small group of people in Carrigaline got together and decided to create a group which we called 'Carrigaline Ecumenical Project Team' (CEPT) and one of the first things we wished to do was to help to welcome refugees into our community. We wanted to help support refugees arriving in Ireland to find a home, to register with schools and doctors and social services and to help them to become part of our lovely community in Carrigaline.
We are doing this through the Department of Justice & Equality's initiative of the Community Sponsorship programme (for more information you can check out the link here: https://www.nascireland.org/current-p…/community-sponsorship).
As a group we are committed to raising €10,000, of which €2,000 can be in kind - as well as finding them a home and so we would love as much support as possible. If you’d like to join our group, or if you might know of a suitable house, or if you'd like to help us with fundraising or if you have any ideas/thoughts that you think might help, do get in touch. Indeed, you can even help us out from your keyboard by clicking on our GoFundMe link.
