We provide lifecycle services here in the Family Centre with our youngest client being 4months and our oldest being 100!

Whereby we are very lucky in our funding for many core services, one area we lack in consistently year after year is our Counselling Service.

We are lucky to have sixteen therapists covering Play, Art, Talk and Couples Counselling in our Centre and all of them operate under a low cost model, a saving for us which we pass on to our clients. Each year we have a throughput of approximately 200 clients through our counselling service, with 85% of them being under 18. Our single largest age group availing of therapeutic services is the 5-10 year old group. Each session costs €40 and we recommend a child have a minimum of 12 sessions, for some Parents this cost is simply too much and instead of denying the intervention, we draw on our own funds and fundraising to meet the need. On average, our therapy service costs some €40,000 a year to run and we receive approximately €9,000 in state funding for this, leaving a substantial shortfall.

Any and all donations are greatly appreciated and it will be ringfenced for the delivery of therapeutic services to those in our community who simply cannot afford it.
