Carolyn x Gyor 2025 : Our favorite photographer in Hungary

Hello!

I’m Jeremy Candy, I’m a canoe marathon paddler, doing a sport I love, like many people do!

One of the things with sport, is the fact that once the race is over, the feelings you could have disappear, the stress, the excitement, the « flow ».

One of the only ways to make sure you can’t forget it, allowing you to go back to some specific moments (giving you a little smile also!) is photography, the pictures of these moments.

In canoe marathon, I am always happy to see Carolyn J Cooper, an Australian photographer, and her camera, waiting to take the good shot, of races, of faces, but not only, giving the paddlers a nice memory of the championship!

But here is the fact, traveling has a cost, and she always has to pay a part (or all of it) of the trip, and even if the passion in sport is big, it doesn’t pay the flight ticket!

That’s why I decided to organize something to try to get Carolyn there, in Hungary, in September, for the canoe marathon world championships.

Not only because we want her as an official photographer, but also because it’s just the right thing to do, regarding the time (and the money) she spends for us!

This year, the international federation couldn’t help her, so maybe we can!

I am sure some people like her job as much as me, so feel free to participate, share or talk about!

The funds will be used for the flight ticket and the accommodation in Hungary, for the world championships.
