Donations for our elderly, disabled neighbor in NP

Friends - please accept my apologies in advance for inviting you to this GoFundMe! I just couldn't think of a better way to get this message out and to collect funds quickly for a much-needed cause. The short version of the story is that there is an elderly lady in our Newbury Park community that is in desperate need of help.
Carole is nearly 80, disabled, abandoned by her husband and left to live in literal squalor. Rats had infested the house and she didn't have the means or wherewithal to do anything. To make matters worse she had a recent fall and is in a rehab facility to gain back her mobility. Tess Hoff (whom many of you likely know) is a true hero and has been successful in getting the word out on NextDoor. She has been coordinating donations and contractors for the last two months trying to get Carole's house into livable shape before Carole returns home in two weeks. The picture on the front is the much-improved version of her house!
Our neighbors in Newbury Park have been amazing in their donations of much needed items, materials and services but there is still so much that is required to get this home into livable shape.
Please consider donating what you can - truly every dollar helps. Feel free to reach out to me directly with any questions. Please also spread the word - if you know of anyone that can help, we'd love to get the word out there! While Tess has projected the cost of repairs at $35,000 (the house needs new windows, tenting and a new roof!) every little bit helps to pay for the cost of painters, plumbers, windows, cabinets, etc.
