Carol Hoch, my sister

I am Carol Hoch’s sister, Wren. She has a brain aneurysm behind her left eye. She’s getting brain surgery tomorrow, and probably (Depending on results) a second one later on this week at University of Penn Hospital in Philadelphia. The neurological team will be guiding a wire vascularly through her groin or wrist up into her brain tomorrow. Among all this news, as she’s transferred in an ambulance from one to hospital to the other, she still finds the silliness to sing into a stethoscope. She is joy embodied. You’ll see in the video below. And brave brave brave brave. She won’t ask for help, so I will. She’s been in the hospital since last Saturday, and is likely to stay in for another week or two as she heals from surgery… You can imagine the hospital bills. She has constant headaches, double vision, sound/light irritation, dizziness, and imbalance. Yet still finds time to sit out a “snacking station” for her visitors.
