Carmen has made it her life's mission to help anyone and everyone accomplish their dreams and reach big goals. She has raised millions of dollars for scholarships to send students to college. She has run big campaigns to help families in need with food donations and school supplies and clothes. It takes an extremely empathetic person to spend their life helping others. This is only possible because of her strong and unwavering faith in Nichiren Buddhism. Carmen has been practicing for 40+ years and dedicates everything in her life to this practice. Recently, Carmen was diagnosed with Breast Cancer. This really took her and everyone around her by surprise. It's a tragedy to see this happen to someone who has the best heart and soul of anyone you've ever met. However, because of this illness, it has deepened her faith even more. With that said, I believe it is Carmen's turn to be taken care of and receive support from everyone she loves. This fundraiser is to raise money for Carmen's life long dream trip to Japan. It has been her goal for most of her life but because she takes care of so many people, she has never been able to put her wants first.
