As I celebrate my 36th birthday this March, I’ve been reflecting a lot on how I want to show up in the world and for the people I care about. For my birthday this year, I’ve decided to fundraise for the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention.
This cause connects deeply to my personal mission - one I wrote when I was 10 and still live by - to make a positive and lasting difference in the world around me, every day. At the core of that is helping people feel like they belong, that they’re appreciated, and that they’re never alone. AFSP’s work to bring hope and support to those affected by suicide really embodies those values for me.
My goal is $500 for my 36th birthday (and anything beyond that is incredible!), but truly, there’s no pressure at all. If donating feels right, I’d be so grateful. And if sharing the campaign or simply holding this cause in your heart is what feels best, that means just as much.
Thank you for being part of my community and for always supporting the ways I try to live my values. I appreciate you more than I can express in words.
