Carlson Family Remembering Mom

Dear Family and Friends.

My name is Brittany Carlson. My mother, Anne, was diagnosed with stage four breast cancer a little over eight years ago. Our family has spent the last several years fighting this monster, giving my mother whatever support we could between myself and my two brothers- both autistic and highly functioning. My half-brother from Oklahoma and aunts and uncles across the country have been very supportive. For those who knew her, you knew she was a fighter and fought till the very end, so much so that none of us thought it could end, at least not yet.

Anyone will tell you that you should prepare for death. Death is inevitable, but those left here will sorely miss us. Mom brightened the lives of so many with her contagious laugh, sense of humor and selflessness. We've managed to make some wonderful, lasting memories in our time; however, there has always been a looming finale...

As you can imagine, we were not all prepared for this to come as quickly as it has. We wish to celebrate Mom's life and the people she loves by reaching out to you all in hopes you'll show your support. Not for me, but for the loved ones that wish to be here and cannot.
