Update!

We have had an update from Carlos and his lawyer saying that there is a good chance he can get the VA plea changed. Unfortunately he needed more money to continue the work, about 6000 dollars now being paid by Carlos. The case looks slightly better now, but will be expensive to complete. 

We have changed the goal to help Carlos (and his family) with the money needed for the VA case. Thanks to you all for your generous donations.

I stepped in to set up this GoFundMe for Carlos on behalf of the many people who have long relationships with him. Any funds raised will go to Carlos or his family, who are staying behind, while Carlos goes to Honduras to fight to come back to his home here.

This is a way to counter the cruelty of this administration - and support someone we know and care about who is being unfairly hurt.
