Hi, My name is Maureen Wells a close family friend of Mike and Linda Morton and their daughter Carissa Matheson.

Carissa was recently diagnosed with terminal cancer.

Carissa’s loving husband, Dale, has taken a leave of absence from his employment to be the primary caregiver for their two young children, Grayson, 14, and Kalin, 11.

Her parents, Mike & Linda Morton are equally devastated.

Compounding this terrible news, a failed colostomy surgery has now left her desperately fighting significant infection throughout her body.

Due to this infection, Chemotherapy is not presently an option.

For the foreseeable future she remains in Victoria General Hospital.

As a result, their family income has been significantly reduced.

Obviously, this terrible news is placing an unbearable strain, both mentally and financially, on the family.
