Welcome to Carisk's 7th Annual Hope for the Holidays Campaign!

=====

Following our tremendous success in raising over $20,000 last year with our Hope for the Holidays campaign, we are excited to support five very worthy organizations in our Florida, New Jersey and Georgia communities this year.

This holiday season, 100% of your tax-deductible donations will benefit the following local agencies, each providing much-needed services, support, healing and hope to men, women and children who really need our help.

Jersey Battered Women's Services (JBWS) - Morris County, NJ

JBWS has provided safety, support, and solutions for over 40 years to thousands of children, adolescents, and adults who have been victims of intimate partner violence.

JBWS operates a safe home called Arbour House, a 12-bedroom home for those who need immediate protection from abuse.

They also offer transitional living, legal advocacy, and crisis response services, providing emotional support, information, referrals, help with safety planning, and assistance for individuals applying for a temporary restraining order.

Through their Center for Healthy Relationships, JBWS provides a safe place to explore difficult relationships. They offer child, adolescent and adult counseling services, as well as support groups, free of charge.

In addition, JBWS leads numerous prevention and awareness initiatives in the communities they serve in NJ, with Teen Dating Violence Protection, professional training, and community awareness presentations facilitated over 100 times a year.

Carisk is again proud to support JBWS through this year’s HFTH campaign, as we’ve done since 2018.

Interfaith Food Pantry - Morris County, NJ

For over 25 years, Interfaith Food Pantry in Morris County, NJ, has provided emergency and supplemental food, a free Farmers Market, nutrition programs, and community education services in their community.

Last year alone, Interfaith distributed 1.6 million pounds of food, provided 1.4 million free meals, distributed over 500,000 pounds of fresh produce, and visited nearly 28,000 homes with items from their food pantry.

They have an annual Thanksgiving Basket Program that many people in the Morris County community rely on during the holidays.

As you might imagine, the worthy individuals and families Interfaith supports were disproportionately impacted by the pandemic, making their food and financial insecurities even more dire, even today.

Carisk has been proud to support Interfaith Food Pantry for the last five years as a beneficiary of our HFTH campaigns, and we’re privileged to be able to do so again this year.

Daniel Kids - Jacksonville, FL

Founded in 1884, Daniel Kids helps nearly 5,000 abused, abanadoned and neglected children in North Florida every year.

The critical therapeutic and supportive care they offer is at low or no cost to their clients, and sadly, the demand for their services continues to grow. Every day, Daniel's Residential Treatment Programs provide safety and support for hundreds of children in emotional distress - children who cannot otherwise safely reside at home or attend school.

They also have Community Care Programs which provide case management, life skills instruction and academic support for students facing risk factors for criminal justice involvement, and a Florida Adoption Information Center which serves as the state's single source for all information about adoption in Florida.

Hand, Hoof and Heart - Acworth, Georgia

The Hand, Hoof and Heart journey began back in 2013 in Marietta, GA. Their founder, Erin, had always been involved with horses, but hadn't planned on building this program until she took a job as a caregiver for a young boy diagnosed with autism and fell in love working with the special needs community.

The Hand, Hoof and Heart dream quickly developed into reality when Erin partnered with a local school for the developmentally disabled to start an equestrian club for their students. When the program first took off, they started out with four riders, two horses and one instructor.

In 2021, Hand, Hoof and Heart landed in its forever home - 15 acres of beautiful farmland in Cherokee County, GA. The program has grown into a barn family of 46 students, 11 horses, and 7 staff members. They now offer several different types of services focused on animal-assisted education and therapeutic outdoor activities geared towards students with cognitive disabilites. They put an emphasis on promoting inclusivity, providing opportunities for the community to get involved, and building a volunteer program that encourages involvement with the special needs community and education industry
