Carin's Camping 4 Africa

Hi and thank you so much for checking this out!  

For the past several years now, I've done a big give around the first of the year.  I love the feeling of starting fresh, setting new goals and helping others.  

Last year I was blessed to send a child to The Royal Family Kids camp for Sonoma County.  It's a wonderful organization that provides camps and mentors for children who are, or have been in fostercare.  I have fostered several babies and had the privilege to adopt three.  I have also worked with kids in the system and I'm a big believer in this program making a real difference.  

What I want to do for this coming year is volunteer with Camping 4 Africa!  It's a similar program to Royal Family Kids, but it serves youth trapped in cycles of poverty, abuse, violence and crime in Cape Town, South Africa.    
 
I found out about Camping 4 Africa through my church, Spring Hills.  We support this cause by raising funds, awareness and volunteers.  The group from our area is actually there right now and will go again in November, 2017.  I will post some pictures when they are available.  

My desire to do this is pretty simple...I just feel led to.  Obviously for me, it has to do with helping children, but I also feel a connection.  I have a friend who is from South Africa and she has shared some about how troubled areas are.  I think it will be good for my kids to experience the whole process indirectly as well.  

It's a large time and financial commitment, so I'm starting early!  I need to raise $3,000 and you can help me by donating money and/or prayers.  Tis' the season, so please think about helping me reach my goal!
