Its the little things that make the difference!
The Caring through Sharing Campaign is a project started by St. Mark's Lutheran and St. James Anglican churches in Kingston that aims to support the residents of the Portsmouth Olympic Harbour Sleeping Cabins. Our goal is to offer these residents haircare, foot and hand care services, movie tickets, and meals from local restaurants so that they can enjoy the simple things that many of us take for granted.
The sleeping cabins were created by Our Livable Solutions in an effort to provide safe shelters to those experiencing homelessness in the Kingston area, especially during the winter. There are currently 10 cabins in the Portsmouth Olympic Village that this campaign will be supporting, and any excess funds will be distributed to other local organizations to support those in need.
