Help Support My 2.5-Year-Old Nephew at SickKids Hospital

Dear friends, family, and kind-hearted strangers,

I’m reaching out to ask for your support during a very difficult time. My 2.5-year-old nephew Tate has been admitted to SickKids Hospital and is currently undergoing treatment that requires ongoing care and attention due to a collapsed lung. Tate required immediate surgical intervention with placement of a chest tube and is receiving around the clock care and continuous intravenous therapy. Although, Tate is finally breathing on his own he still has a build up of fluid and air in his chest and there is no real prediction on when his chest tube can be removed.

As our families rally around him, my brother Reinhard and sister in-law Tiffany are facing unexpected and growing expenses, including parking fees at the hospital, daily meals ( Reiny eats alot) , and the potential of temporary accommodation nearby to remain close to Tate throughout his stay.

We are doing everything we can to be there for Tate, but these added financial burdens are becoming overwhelming. Any contribution—no matter how small—would go a long way in helping his parents stay close and focused on Tate's healing without the added stress of logistics and costs.
