Kodie's Story

Kodie Ann is 7 years old and has been suffering from severe internal brain seizures for the past 3 years. It has affected her education and her daily needs. Kodie's mom works full-time but has had to leave work a lot due to many doctor's appointments. She has already lost one job because of these circumstances. Kodie's MawMaw (Grandma), who was the primary care provider, is now unable to take Kodie to appointments as she suffered several strokes in early January and lost her sight.

They have been traveling 3 hours one way to Jackson, MS to the pediatric hospital weekly for the past several weeks. Kodie has been continuously in and out of the hospital because of the increase in seizures. As I am writing this, Kodie has gone back into the hospital. The goal is to begin doing outpatient therapy with Kodie in the next few weeks. If this goal is successful, she will be traveling 1.5 hours to the nearest facility for her treatment.

With only one income and limited insurance benefits, it has been extremely difficult to address rising medical needs and travel expenses. We appreciate your donation to assist Kodie and her family.
