Hello, my name is Jasmin Lagaali. I am a Wagga Wagga local, born and bred. I am a Social Worker and in my spare time a wife to my husband and mum to my beautiful girls. I am so passionate about the Wagga Wagga community and making a difference where I can. What better way than to step out of my comfort zone than a singing competition!
I feel so incredibly honoured to have been selected for Wagga Wagga Takes 2 for 2025, singing for a charity I hold dear to my heart.
Carevan Wagga is a not-for-profit charity for local people which provides meals and social interaction throughout the community as its primary goal. Carevan Wagga Wagga Incorporated prepares and distributes over 500 free meals each week to people in the Wagga Wagga community who are experiencing food insecurity and social isolation. I am lucky enough to spend my Wednesday nights with the Carevan team as a volunteer.
As part of the Wagga Wagga Takes 2 commitments, I will spend the next few months learning choreography, and putting my singing ability to the test, to put on what I hope to be a magical performance over three incredible nights over the October long weekend.
I have been teamed up with a local legend, Aaron Oldaker. Aaron is a well respected musical talent in Wagga and surrounds. His guidance and mentorship throughout this process will be so valuable as we take on what might be his biggest challenge yet. I know I’m in the best hands possible!
I hope to raise as much money as possible for Carevan and I hope you will join me on this journey. I thank you so very much for your support and love.
