Care Packages for The Unhoused in Detroit
Donation protected
Hi, we're Synaptic Interaction, a neuroscience and mental health initiative based out of metro Detroit! We are hoping to raise at least $1,000 to provide the unhoused population of Detroit with self-care necessities, such as water, non-perishable food, period products, toothpaste, toothbrushes, dental floss, soap, shampoo, conditioner, lotion, and deodorant! Each care package cost approximately $25, so we are hoping that, by reaching our $1,000 goal, we would be able to donate at least 40 of these care packages! All proceeds will go directly to these baskets and thus no money will go to personal gain or administrative fees.
The mental health of the unhoused community is too often ignored leading to an increased risk of depression, anxiety, and suicide for the unhoused. We are hoping that these care packages will provide some relief and lead to better mental health outcomes for those struggling with their mental health.
If you are unable to give, it is more than enough to share this campaign! Every action you take to support this campaign is so appreciated.
We will be posting updates on this page as they happen, but we will be updating the Instagram page (@synaptic_interaction) bi-weekly, so make sure to follow to stay in the loop!
