Across the HRM, the number of people experiencing homelessness has doubled in the last 2 years.

That’s why I'm raising funds to assemble care packages / “sustainable bags” for people experiencing homelessness or precarious housing situations in the Halifax region. Each bag will include practical items like warm socks, hygiene products, healthy snacks, a reusable bottle or tote, and a note of encouragement.

Whether someone is sleeping in a shelter, staying temporarily with friends, or struggling to hold onto a rental, a small bag of essentials can help ease one moment of the burden.

Every dollar makes a difference, even a few dollars can help provide essentials like snacks, socks, or hygiene items that bring warmth and comfort to someone in need this holiday season.

$5 - Provides snacks, a bottle of water, or basic hygiene items like toothpaste and soap.

$10- Covers a pair of warm socks, gloves, or a reusable water bottle.

$20- Helps build a nearly complete care package with food, hygiene supplies, and a small comfort item.
