Hi, everyone! We are Community Got Us, San Jose.
We are starting a radical, grass root collective in San Jose, California to support our people through mutual aid and political education. Our first goal as a group is to provide care packages for our houseless community in ESSJ/SSSJ.
Care packages will include items such as masks, sunscreen, hand sanitizer, water, fruits, etc.
We need help raising this money because it’s not cheap. A bottle of sunscreen alone can cost $10, which means just 10 of them would already be $100.
Please show up & show out for our San Jose community, especially during times like these.
We will also be setting up a social media page soon (hopefully by the end of this week), where we will include receipts and photos of the care packages we create. Transparency is important to us as a collective, and we want you to know that your money is going to the people.
We have the power to create change in our city. We have the power to create a movement of radical love and care. Let’s do this, as a community.
