The Cheshire East Care Leavers team are starting our annual Care Leavers Christmas appeal 2024!
We’re raising money to purchase gifts for young people who have experienced local authority care. At this time of year, when family and friends play such a special role for many people, these young people often have very little family support and can feel lonely around the holidays.
Please help us to make their Christmas a little more special and ensure all care leavers have a gift to open on Christmas Day. Unfortunately, our charity partner is unable to support with gifts for our 16–25-year-olds so this year we really want to ensure we go the extra mile to make Christmas magical, including a festive lunch with all the trimmings. This page will close on 15th December to allow us to time to use contributions to purchase presents for our young people, so they have something special to unwrap on Christmas Day!
We also have an Amazon Wish List where gifts can be purchased for delivery straight to our service. We’re mindful that these items are often cheaper when purchased directly from shops so please consider picking up an extra gift when doing your shopping!
Last year was incredible with over 160 gifts delivered to our most vulnerable care leavers to help make their Christmas just that little bit more special. A HUGE thank you to those who donated, helped wrap gifts and help to put a smile on so many young people’s faces, it really is appreciated!
