I had the idea earlier of how i could help unhoused people in my community more than a few dollars or a snack - I felt like having access to the tools for hygiene could be a good start

Being in Santa Monica i've noticed a lot of the community members need sunscreen so i thought to include that as well.

I purchased a few kits myself, including shampoo, conditioner, razors, sunscreen, mints, and even a smiley sticker hehe!

im trying to be intentional with the products instead of generic single use toothpaste - these are people and i feel like they deserve a solid product

so far - 25 piece toiletries kit -

(will start bulk purchasing supplies in future)

shower wipes - shower scrubby- sunscreen face and body - nail clipper set - first aid kits - face wash

currently these are mainly for men - will grow and add feminine hygiene supplies / girl stuff in future

I personally can do so much but, I know the need is great in this community so it sparked the idea of me starting a nonprofit!

The economy is really tough right now, and I’m grateful for the support that’s kept me from ending up on the street myself. That gratitude inspired me to take action and see how I could make a bigger impact. I know there are great people in our community who would love to get involved and help out our unhoused neighbors, so I’m starting this fundraiser to expand the project.

Every dollar raised will go directly to care kit supplies - i'm not doing this for personal gain i'm doing this to help people

i feel like were all in a tough spot but my mentality is im grateful to have access to basic hygiene and i can pass this to others

also if you want to get involved please reach out!!! i would love to have other care kit warriors on the mission
