My name is Dylan P, I am 13 years old and a scout with Troop 319 in La Mesa, CA and I am working on my Eagle Project. The scouts have taught me to live my life by the Scout Oath and Law which is to help other people at all times, and to be kind, courteous, and helpful. This is why I chose to work with PATH San Diego. PATH works to end homelessness for individuals, families, veterans, and communities. They do this by building affordable housing and providing supportive services throughout California.
My project is to build hygiene care kits for the homeless. These individual kits will include items such as toothbrushes, toothpaste, floss, mouthwash, anti-bacterial wipes, razors, shaving cream, feminine products, socks, underwear, hand sanitizer, ChapStick, lotion, sunscreen, dry shampoo, nail clippers, comb. Non-perishable snacks will also be included such as granola bars, crackers, nuts, pretzels, beef jerky, and mini water bottles. A part of the project will also be donating household cleaning supplies to those who receive housing by PATH. I am graciously asking for donations to help with this project and will be collecting throughout the summer. I believe it is very important to take care of those in our community and hope this brings some comfort and happiness to those currently without homes. Thank you!!
