The fundraiser site we had been using was moved over to Go Fund Me, so you will now see our info on this site. We copied our story and you can find it below if you haven’t had a chance to read it. Here’s an update of where we are at now. Tomorrow is our first home study meeting! We are excited to start this next step, and we will have all four of our home study meetings finished the day before school starts…phew! We continue to ask for your prayers that this portion of the process would go smoothly. We feel incredibly blessed by the outpouring of love and generous giving from all of you. You will see on this fundraiser that our goal is $4500, and that is because $23,630 has already been raised! We cannot thank you all enough for your support with this! We love you all!

Dear family and friends,
"Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." Philippians 4:6-7 Friends, this is one of my favorite Bible verses, and it truly applies well to the season of life that Jason and I are currently in.
Jason and I have always wanted children, which I think speaks to our professions since we are both teachers. :-) For a few years now we have tried to get pregnant but with no success. Jason and I both went through some testing to find out that we are not able to conceive on our own. We then started the discussion of, "What do we do now?" We came down to two options, IVF or adoption. After discussing further, Jason and I decided that what would work best for our family would be adoption. We look forward to being blessed by a child and also blessing that child.
After having prayed for a child for so long, it fills me with peace knowing that we are starting a journey that will eventually end with being able to call a child our own, through God's grace! We know that this will be a journey of ups and downs, but so worth it, and we would appreciate your prayers through it. We already feel so loved and supported by the family and friends around us!
Asking for money can be a difficult thing, and we debated what to do in order to come up with the money for the adoption. We know that our Lord and Savior will provide for us, and so often He works through others to do that! So here we are, creating this fundraiser. :-)
In case you are wondering, yes, an adoption costs $25,000...phew! Jason and I are choosing to do an infant domestic adoption. Colorado is an agency state, which means we need to go through an agency to adopt our child. Another reason we're doing this fundraiser is because the adoption process we will go through requires payment in full for each step. We will definitely keep you updated as we move on to each new step!
