Care for Cardiology

We are Sydney Casamento, Joey Fraser, and Ava Smith and our high school DECA project is centered around raising funds to support the children and families that stay in the inpatient Cardiology unit of Boston Childrens Hospital. DECA is an activity at our school and many others where we do business projects and compete them at the end of the year. This cause is important to us because Ava's 17 year-old brother Dylan was born with Hypoplastic Left-Heart Syndrome (HLHS). He had 3 open heart surgeries at a young age and has continued to receive amazing care at Childrens Hospital his entire life. We are working with the child life team at Childrens Hospital to help us determine the best way to use the funds we raise to support the children and families there. We hope to make an impact on some of the children/families that are currently enduring extended hospital stays on the Cardiac inpatient floor while receiving amazing care at Boston Childrens Hospital.
